Ray Ramirez enters his 12th year as the New York Mets Head Athletic Trainer after 13 seasons as the assistant with the Texas Rangers. He previously spent 9 seasons at the minor league level with the NY Mets, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers. He served as a USA host athletic trainer during the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis. In 1999 & 2000 he worked for San Juan & Carolina respectively, in the Puerto Rico Winter Baseball League. Ramirez was has been selected as an athletic trainer for two All Star Games. He represented the Texas Rangers for the American League in Houston, TX (2004), and the New York Mets for the National League in New York (2013). He is a former PBATS executive board member. Ramirez is a certified member of the NATA, NSCA & NASM. He is a native of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico but spends the off-season in Arlington, Texas. He has two sons; Rico & Ricky. Hobby: Road Bike.
