Adam begins his first season as Head Athletic Trainer of the St. Louis Cardinals after completing six seasons as their Assistant Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist. Prior to his time in St. Louis, he served for four seasons as the Medical/Rehab Coordinator for the Cardinals out of their Spring Training Complex in Jupiter, Florida. Olsen is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Auburn University where he earned his Athletic Training Certification. Olsen worked as an athletic trainer for Disney’s Wide World of Sports and Wildwood High School in the Orlando area before returning to school for his Master’s in Physical Therapy from The University of Wisconsin – Madison. Following graduation, Olsen completed a post-professional Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship at Champion Sports Medicine and the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) under the direction of Dr. James Andrews and Kevin E. Wilk in Birmingham, Alabama. Olsen has completed training in Full-Body Active Release Techniques (ART) and is working through the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) educational tract. Olsen, 38, and his wife, Amy, reside in St. Louis Hills with their daughters, Annabelle Frances (6) and Piper James (1), and their dog Bailey.
