Head Athletic Trainer
James Quinlan, 34, is beginning his third season as head athletic trainer with the Cleveland Indians after spending 6 seasons in the Cleveland Indians Player Development System. Quinlan spent two seasons (2012-2013) serving as athletic trainer at the club’s Triple-A affiliate in Columbus, OH. Prior to 2012 he spent four seasons as the Indians rehabilitation coordinator. Quinlan joined the Indians organization in 2007 as the athletic trainer at the Mahoning Valley (Rookie) affiliate. Quinlan received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training while a student at Temple University in Philadelphia. He then obtained a doctorate in physical therapy from Widener University. Quinlan, who is also a member of the NATA and APTA, began his career in baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2003 as an intern for the rehabilitation coordinator. A native of Havertown, PA, Quinlan lives in Avon Lake, OH with his wife and two children.
