Attended Loyola Marymount University after playing two seasons at Santa Ana Junior College where he was named MVP of the Orange Empire Conference and California Junior College Co-Player of the Year in 2000.
C.J. is 94-70 with seven complete games, two shutouts, 52 saves and a 3.74 ERA (1430.1 innings pitched, 594 earned runs) in 444 career appearances (192 starts). He spent the entire 2016 season on the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation. C.J. has earned at least one win against all 15 American League franchises and, since becoming a full-time starter in 2010, has compiled an 82-50 record with seven complete games, two shutouts and a 3.60 ERA in 186 starts. Entering the ’16 season, his 82 wins since 2010 ranked second in the A.L. amongst LHP (behind David Price, 94). With his 10th win of the season in 2014, C.J. became just the third player in MLB history to record ﬁve straight seasons with 10 or more wins after logging three consecutive double-digit save seasons, joining Derek Lowe and Ryan Dempster.
He wants to pursue a career in racecar driving after baseball and started the C.J. Wilson Racing team that competes in the Mazda MX-5 and Grand AM Cup series.
